My first self-published tiny book, Touching Peripheries, spans two years of poetry and image-making. It explores a deepening embodiment and how this awareness expands to soften the edges of the self into the land, the night sky, the arms of a lover. Words dissolve into fragments of drawing; the riso printing process (printed by Dizzy Ink) adds a grainy softness to images already on the verge of dissolution. The whole process of writing, designing, printing and binding this book was an enormous labour of love and I'm so happy with how they've come out.
Riso-printed at Dizzy Ink and hand-bound with twine. A6 size.
